Air Conditioning Fixed Scroll Compressor

Delphi Automotive PLC fixed scroll compressor (CXS) is a quiet, low-vibration alternative to the reciprocating piston compressor. Gas compression is achieved by the smooth continuous relative motion of an orbiting spiral in relation to a fixed spiral. Multiple gas compression pockets are formed resulting in a continuous discharge of compressed refrigerant gas. The low-mass compressor utilizes few moving parts, operates efficiently and quietly at high speeds and provides smooth, uninterrupted air conditioning operation. Displacements range from 90 to 120 cc. It also has various mounting configurations—solid, ear and tangential mounts—as well as flexible porting arrangements.
